ian’s Work

Ian’s experiences as an interdisciplinary project-based educator at El Puente High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Monona Grove Liberal Arts Charter School (MG21) in Monona, WI, and currently as an instructor at Madison College inform his approaches to teaching, learning and leadership.

He believes teachers and students thrive when given the opportunity to exercise agency. This means that they move through learning environments where their identities are affirmed, they feel a sense of belonging in their learning community, and they work together to create change based on a growing body of knowledge and skills.
