At the end of this training, all staff will be trained in Tier 1 (universal) Restorative Justice practices.

The 1-day training is held in-person at or near the school community.

All participants will be provided a workbook and supplemental reading materials.

Before the training, we will work with the school community to:

• Assess school climate and culture

• Work with Staff RJ team to develop all-staff training

• Create pathways to collect and evaluate data

At the end of the 1-day training experience, participants will be able to:.

• Define restorative practices in education and understand the restorative justice in education framework

• Compare the punitive approach and the restorative justice in education framework

• Explore the myths and realities of restorative justice in education

• Design a circle for Teaching and Learning

• Facilitate a restorative conversation

• Create a script for welcome circle

• Identify the pathways to tag in the Staff Restorative Justice Team for additional support.

After the training, the Staff RJ Team will receive support and consultation from our team. We will:

• Mentor RJ Team as they support all staff in Tier 1 (universal) restorative justice practices.
